Special Skills & Experience

I have worked professionally as a cinematographer for more than two decades.

My work has appeared in nearly two dozen feature films, from "Akeelah and the Bee" with Angela Bassett, Laurence Fishburne, and Kiki Palmer, to the local homegrown classic, "The Gamers: Dorkness Rising".

I am a graduate from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and I received an Emmy Award for cinematography on the documentary film, "The Cultivated Life: Thomas Jefferson and Wine". I’ve shot reality television internationally and locally: 1000 Places to See Before You Die (Travel Channel); Baldwin Hills for BET; Treehouse Masters; Restaurant Impossible; The Bachelor… But narrative features and documentary storytelling is where my heart is.

I’ve had the good fortune to work with such talents as Will Smith, Lily Tomlin, and Reba McEntire and the supreme privilege of filming some the most extraordinary ordinary people all around the world -- amputees in Haiti, flood victims in Bangladesh, refugees in Dadaab, and people whose lives have been indelibly touched by cancer, right here in Seattle.
