Over 30 years experience in Australia as a First AD, but now resident in Seattle. In the 70s, started as a Location Caterer (inc Mad Max 1). Then in early 80s, was Second AD on several Australian features before moving on to First ADing. (Also about that time I was Production Manager on a prize-winning indie feature, "Wrong Side of the Road").After firsting two low-budget features, I switched to concentrate on high-end TVCs: since 1988 I have worked as First AD on over 300 TVC shoots, principally in Australia and New Zealand, but also in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia and the US (including airside at LAX and on Boeing's 747 assembly line right here in Everett). During that time I worked with directors from the US, Japan, Korea, the UK, Belgium and Spain, as well as many Australian and NZ directors. One memorable project saw me firsting for Tony (Top Gun) Scott on a George Michael music video ("Father Figure").In the past 10 years I have also worked as 1st AD on a number of short films (drama), many of which were directed by graduating students at Australia's pre-eminent professional film school, AFTRS (Australian Film Radio and Television School). My work on those also involved guiding/mentoring, as well as the more familiar work of the 1st AD.I'm not looking to get back into features at this late stage in my career, but I would love to get into short films and TVCs here in the Pacific NW. I'm an Australian citizen, but a US Permanent Resident (green-card holder), and I'll work anywhere.
