Description

My goal is to tell stories that speak to and teach to black boys; especially queer black boys, including those who transition later on in their lives. There's power in community, there's power in blackness, and there's power in queerness. I love the Pacific NorthWest, but not because of the Seahawks, or the Mariners, or the Kraken. Since moving here, I’ve been able to meet so many incredible artists. Many of them black. Many of them queer. And many that are both black and queer like myself. I have a place now that allows me to grow and develop my voice, both as a storyteller and as a black man seeking the safety to feel blue. Ultimately, my dream is to develop stories that are authentic to my experience and bring those stories to the forefront of American culture where they belong. Through my vulnerability, I hope to build a safe community for black boys, of any age or orientation, to be vulnerable with me.
