Randa Ali is a filmmaker and educator. She is currently developing her first feature film, Rock, Paper, Sea. The project was awarded the grand award from the CNC (National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image in France) and the Pop-Up Film Residency in Slovakia.In 2024, her short film Mango, an exploration of loss and grief through a daughter-father relationship, was in the official competitions of the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, Bilbao Int'l Film Festival and the Flickers Rhode Island Int'l Film Festival. Mango was also awarded a Special Jury Mention at the Amman Int’l Film Festival and the WWF award at MedFilm Festival.She is a former recipient of the ARRI Franz Weiser grant and a graduate of UCLA's Directing MFA program, where she was recipient of a full-ride scholarship offered to female filmmakers from the Arab world.
