Description
I was born and raised in Lomita, California and have been passionate about the performing arts since I was a young child. I started performing in school productions at age 8 and worked backstage since age 13. In my senior year I was part of the introductory performing arts magnet school at Narbonne HS in Harbor City, Los Angeles, CA. I went onto study film production at Santa Barbara community college and transferring to Orange Coast College before taking time off to raise a family in St. Charles, Missouri. I recently went back to school and received my Film and Video production certificate in 2024 at the University of Washington.
Since then I have been assisting in local documentaries, small short productions with local filmmakers, and helping local businesses improve their social media output.
Special Skills & Experience
I am an emerging film professional based near Seattle, working across cinematography, camera operation, digital imaging, writing, and editing. My experience spans narrative shorts, documentary projects, and small‑scale commercial or branded content, giving me a well‑rounded understanding of both the creative and technical sides of production. I’m actively building my career within Washington’s film community and am committed to contributing to the region’s growing production landscape.
As a director of photography and camera operator, I focus on shaping visual storytelling through composition, lighting, and movement. I’ve worked on independent narrative and documentary projects where I’ve collaborated closely with directors to develop the visual tone, select camera and lens packages, and execute shot plans on set. I’m comfortable adapting to a range of production environments and enjoy the collaborative, fast‑paced nature of camera department.
In my DIT roles, I support productions by managing media, maintaining organized data workflows, and ensuring footage is backed up, verified, and ready for post‑production. I’m experienced with color consistency, LUT application, and communicating between the camera team and editorial. This work has strengthened my technical foundation and my ability to keep productions running smoothly.
My writing and editing experience gives me a strong sense of story structure and pacing. I’ve written short‑form narrative material and documentary outlines, and I’ve edited projects ranging from short films to digital content. Working in post‑production has sharpened my instincts for what a scene needs on set, and it helps me approach cinematography with the final edit in mind.
I am rooted in the Seattle‑area film community and continue to build relationships with local filmmakers, crews, and organizations. Washington’s creative ecosystem -from its diverse locations to its collaborative independent scene- is where I want to grow my career. I’m committed to keeping my work in‑state and contributing to a sustainable, thriving production environment here.
As an emerging professional, I’m focused on expanding my cinematography and post‑production skills, taking on more responsibility within camera teams, and continuing to develop my own creative projects. Washington Filmworks’ support would help me deepen my industry connections, gain mentorship, and strengthen my long‑term career in Washington’s film and television sector.
