Recently Gavin directed and Straightface Studios produced a commercial for FSC which was awarded a Seattle Addie Judge’s Choice award and he served as a 2nd unit VFX Supervisor for Amazon Studios’ award-winning show I’m a Virgo.
I'm an unapologetic generalist who not only tries to find the best tool for a job but will happily make it if it doesn't exist. * I wrote an interactive application which streamlined the process from client direction to print-ready imagery from 1 week down a couple hours. * To keep up with T-Mobile's ultra short turn arounds for getting new deal and offers to air within a matter of days to respond to competitors we not only developed a visual language for T-Mobile's product imagery but then also developed a digital cinematography rig to produce lit, rendered and touched up product shots by the next day. Because the perfect images don't matter if they are too late. * For Starbucks I not only flew to South America to shoot the footage, but I also wrote a bespoke video player for their stores to dynamically generate and playback edits from the library since there was nothing commercially available. * For Amazon Halo FTUE I worked with Amazon's studio to craft a shooting strategy and post pipeline to ultimately finish over 200,000 visual effects shots in less than a year.
