I now work as a cinematographer for companies such as BBC, IMAX, PBS, Smithsonian, Disney+ and National Geographic. The most recent series I’ve filmed on are the National Geographic/Disney+ series ‘Queens’, which recently premiered in March 2024 and on Secrets of Penguins which premiered this April. I've also recently worked Underdogs for National Geographic/Disney+ which will premiere this year. I also was a presenter and cinematographer on a children’s conservation series for CBBC in the Falkland Islands on rockhopper penguins. And I self funded, filmed and produced a film with Jack Johnston, called ‘My Alaskan Journey’ which is currently doing the film festival circuit. This film follows family stories around Alaska and included 6 months of remote filming work and logistics in 2019.
As well as filming wildlife on land, I am also a deep- sea video engineer. I was originally trained during an internship with Dr. Robert Ballard’s exploration vessel, Nautilus, controlling the live cameras on ROVs at depths of 4000 meters. I am a trained guide and naturalist in bear country. I am also a third generation commercial fisherwoman in the largest sockeye salmon run in the world. I run a commercial set net fishing operation in Bristol Bay Alaska and have spent time at remote fishing camps since I was a toddler. I am very comfortable on boats and was fortunate to work for a very talented skipper down in the South Atlantic on a 50-foot sailboat for a southern summer. I am a FAA certified drone pilot and certified Wilderness First Responder (with Adult, Child, Infant CPR, AED, and Airway Management and Epinephrine Auto-injector). I own and operate my RED Epic-W, CN20, canon r5 and drone.
