Moose Kinsey is a Pacific Northwest filmmaker and artist whose work bridges visual art, performance, and narrative storytelling. A graduate of Orcas Island High School and current Mechanical Engineering student at Princeton University, Moose developed his filmmaking voice through a foundation in film, music performance, and live theatre. As a performer with the Princeton Triangle Club, touring nationally, he brings professional stage discipline, comic timing, and ensemble collaboration to his screen work. Moose has written, directed, and edited short films including Studious (2024), Treetop (2022), and Princeton Pictures produced Food for the Soul (2025), reflecting a storytelling style rooted in community, character, and visual texture.
Moose combines directing and post-production editing with strong visual design shaped by traditional techniques. He has experience in short-form narrative filmmaking from concept development through photography and final cut, with strengths in shot composition, practical set design, and symbolic visual layering. His background in cello and state performance informs his sensitivity to sound design, rhythm, and musical pacing in film. As a trained stage performer and touring musical-comedy cast member, he brings on-camera presence, improvisational agility, vocal projection, and choreographed movement skills. Additionally, his leadership roles include various organizations like the Lions Club, Orcas Island Yacht Club, US Sailing Instructor for Sail Orcas and large-scale community art projects (including designing mural installations) demonstrate production management capability, team coordination, and the ability to execute creative projects under deadline and public visibility.
